The coordinator joins the vehicle at pickup, completes a brief group introduction, and the journey to Haridwar begins. Lunch en-route at a pre-vetted satvik dhaba on NH-334. Arrive Haridwar by late afternoon at a Hotel Naveen-class four-star property within easy walking distance of the Ganga ghats. After check-in and a short rest, the group walks to Har-ki-Pauri for the evening Ganga Aarti — the coordinator arranges a reserved viewing area near the main ghat. Return to the hotel for dinner. Early night, as the next morning starts the hill drive.

After breakfast at the hotel, the drive into the hills begins. The road climbs through Dehradun and Mussoorie before descending into the Yamuna valley at Kempty, then rising again along the Yamuna to Barkot. Lunch en-route at a satvik dhaba near Mussoorie or Damta. Arrive Barkot by late afternoon at a riverside four-star category property. The evening is free for rest after the long hill drive; the coordinator briefs the group on the next morning's pre-dawn departure for Yamunotri.

Pre-dawn departure from Barkot by Tempo Traveller for Janki Chatti, the trek base for Yamunotri (45 km, about 2 hours). Light breakfast packed by the hotel. From Janki Chatti the 6 km trek to Yamunotri begins — those who do not wish to walk can take a pony or palki, arranged at the base. The darshan at Yamunotri Devi is the first of the four dhams; pilgrims dip rice and potatoes into the Surya Kund hot spring as the traditional offering. After darshan and prashad, descend to Janki Chatti by afternoon, lunch at a hill-side dhaba, and return to Barkot by evening. Dinner and overnight at the same Barkot property.

After a relaxed breakfast (well-earned after the Yamunotri trek), the drive to Uttarkashi begins. The road climbs out of the Yamuna valley, crosses the high Radi Pass, and descends into the Bhagirathi valley at Uttarkashi. Lunch en-route at a satvik dhaba near Radi or Dunda. Arrive Uttarkashi by late afternoon at a four-star riverside category property along the Bhagirathi. Evening visit to the historic Vishwanath Temple of Uttarkashi (held by tradition to have been established by Bhagavan Parashurama). Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Early breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Gangotri (100 km, about 4 hours along the Bhagirathi). The road follows the river through Maneri, Bhatwari, Gangnani, and Harsil — one of the most beautiful drives in the Himalayas. Arrive Gangotri by late morning. The Gangotri Mandir, built by the Gorkha general Amar Singh Thapa in the early 19th century, stands at the spot where the Bhagirathi-Ganga emerges from the Gangotri glacier. Darshan, ritual bath at the river (those willing), and a brief visit to Bhagirath Shila where King Bhagirath is said to have done his tapas to bring Ganga to earth. Lunch at Gangotri. Return to Uttarkashi by evening; dinner and overnight at the same property.

After breakfast, the long drive from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi begins — the road moves from the Bhagirathi basin to the Mandakini basin, crossing several valleys. Route: Uttarkashi - Chamba - Tehri - Devprayag - Srinagar Garhwal - Rudraprayag - Tilwara - Guptkashi. Lunch en-route at a satvik dhaba near Devprayag or Rudraprayag, with a brief darshan stop at the Devprayag sangam (confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda — the formal start of the Ganga). Arrive Guptkashi by late afternoon at a four-star-equivalent property. The Vishwanath and Ardha-Narishwar temples at Guptkashi are visited in the evening. The coordinator briefs the group on the next morning's Kedarnath plan — whether by trek, pony, or helicopter — and confirms yatra registration for the Kedarnath segment.

Pre-dawn departure from Guptkashi by Tempo Traveller for Sonprayag (32 km, 1 hour). At Sonprayag the vehicle road ends; the group takes a shared jeep to Gaurikund (5 km, 15 minutes), the trek base. From Gaurikund the 16 km trek to Kedarnath begins — pilgrims may walk, take a pony, or use the helicopter shuttle (if booked as add-on; helicopter pilgrims fly from Sirsi or Phata to the Kedarnath helipad directly, skipping Sonprayag-Gaurikund). The walk passes Jungle Chatti, Bhimbali, Linchauli, and ends at the Kedarnath base where the magnificent stone temple stands beneath the snow-clad Garhwal peaks. Afternoon darshan at the Kedarnath jyotirlinga. Overnight at the GMVN premium tented camp at Kedarnath or, subject to availability, a BKTC-approved permanent stay close to the temple. The coordinator confirms the next morning's Rudrabhishek booking with the temple committee.

Pre-dawn rise at Kedarnath. The morning Rudrabhishek — booked in advance by Satmarg through the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee — is performed at the jyotirlinga. The rite involves the abhishek of the linga with panchamrit, water from the Mandakini, and the chanting of Rudra-suktam and Namakam-Chamakam by the temple priest. The rite typically takes 60-90 minutes; the booking fee is included, samagri is pilgrim-borne and arranged by the priest at standard rates. After the rite and a final darshan, the descent begins — by trek, pony, or helicopter back to Gaurikund. Lunch at a Sonprayag or Guptkashi dhaba. The vehicle then drives onwards through Chopta and along the Alaknanda to Joshimath. Arrive Joshimath by evening at a four-star property; dinner and overnight.

Early breakfast and drive to Badrinath (45 km, about 1.5 hours along the Alaknanda). The Badrinath temple, the seat of Bhagavan Vishnu in his Badri-Vishal form, stands above the Tapt Kund hot spring on the bank of the Alaknanda. The traditional sequence at Badrinath is: snan at the Tapt Kund, darshan of Badri-Vishal, and parikrama of the temple. After darshan and the morning aarti, drive 3 km onwards to Mana village — the last village before the Tibet border, held by tradition to be where Vyasa Muni dictated the Mahabharata to Ganesha at the Vyas Gufa. Visit the Bhim Pul, the Saraswati emergence, and the Vasudhara waterfall (a short trek for those willing). Lunch at Badrinath or back at Mana. Return to Joshimath by evening; dinner and overnight at the same property.

Early breakfast and the long drive down to Rishikesh begins — the road follows the Alaknanda to Devprayag (the formal sangam with the Bhagirathi where the Ganga begins), then the Ganga down to Rishikesh. Lunch en-route at a satvik dhaba near Srinagar Garhwal or Devprayag. Arrive Rishikesh by late afternoon at an Aloha or Ananda-affiliate-class four-star riverside property. Evening transfer to Triveni Ghat for the famous Ganga Aarti at sunset. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

A full leisure day at Rishikesh after the long mountain circuit. An optional morning yoga session is arranged at the hotel or at a nearby ashram (Parmarth Niketan or the Sivananda lineage, depending on the booking month). Late breakfast. The day is free for the group — pilgrims may walk to Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula, visit the Tera Manzil Mandir, attend a satsang at one of the Rishikesh ashrams, or simply rest by the Ganga. The coordinator can arrange a guided Beatles Ashram walk or a Ganga raft ride for those interested. Evening Triveni Ghat aarti again (this time a more relaxed view). Dinner at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. The Tempo Traveller departs for Delhi (about 230 km, 6-7 hours). Lunch en-route as a pilgrim-borne stop at a dhaba of choice (lunch on Day 12 is the only meal pilgrim-borne, given the late afternoon arrival timing). Arrive at Delhi airport or the specified Delhi address by evening. The coordinator hands over the trip documentation packet — stamped yatra registration, temple darshan receipts, Rudrabhishek certificate — and the yatra concludes. A Satmarg post-trip call follows within 48 hours for feedback.
