The triangle
What is the Saket–Kashi–Prayag Yatra?
This is the classical north Indian pilgrimage triangle. <em>Saket</em> is Ayodhya — birthplace of Shri Ram and one of the seven Mokshapuris. <em>Kashi</em> is Varanasi — Avimukta Kshetra of Mahadev, the city of moksha. <em>Prayag</em> is Prayagraj — Tirtha-raj, the king of all tirthas at the Triveni Sangam. To do these three in a single yatra is to honour Vishnu, Shiva, and the great Tri-Veni rivers in one continuous pilgrimage. The standard yatra runs 5-6 days; with Chitrakoot or Naimisharanya added it becomes 7-10 days.

The Three Cities in One Yatra
Three cities, three presences. In Saket (Ayodhya) you stand where Shri Ram was born. In Prayag you enter the water where three rivers meet. In Kashi you approach Mahadev in his own city. Each asks a different amount of your time, and the yatra works best when you give each city what it needs — no more, no less.

Ayodhya's darshan is a morning-and-evening rhythm — Janmabhoomi and Hanuman Garhi by day, the Saryu Aarti at sunset. Prayagraj is a single sunrise done properly: boat out to the Sangam, snan, then Bade Hanuman before the road. Kashi asks the most — the temple sequence, the dawn boat, the evening aarti — and rewards a second day. Five to six days holds all three without hurry.
Getting around
Route & Logistics — Order, Hops, Hours
The circuit is a one-way arc — you never backtrack. The classic order is Ayodhya → Prayagraj → Kashi: arrive into Ayodhya, travel south to the Sangam, and finish in Kashi, flying home from Varanasi. Pilgrims starting from the east simply run it in reverse. On road legs your luggage moves with you in the same AC vehicle; there is no repacking between darshans.

Arrive into Ayodhya by air (AYJ) or the Delhi Vande Bharat; depart from Varanasi (VNS), which has direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. We schedule the Ayodhya–Prayagraj drive so you reach the Sangam by evening and take snan at sunrise the next morning — the timing the tradition itself asks for.

What's the best sequence?
The traditional sequence is Saket (Ayodhya) → Prayag → Kashi. From Lucknow or Ayodhya airport, this flow works geographically and devotionally. From Varanasi, the reverse — Kashi → Prayag → Ayodhya — is also common.
How many days minimum?
5 days is the recommended minimum for justice to all three cities. 4 days is possible but rushed. 7 days lets you add Chitrakoot for the full Ram-vanvas path.
Best time of year?
October to March is the most pleasant. Ram Navami (March-April) is the spiritual peak at Ayodhya; Mauni Amavasya (January-February) at Prayagraj; Mahashivratri (February-March) and Diwali at Varanasi. Plan for these dates if devotionally important.
Can I do this with elderly parents?
Yes — the yatra is gentle. AC vehicle through-out, hotels near each darshan site, and we plan for elder-friendly pace (no early-morning rush on travel days). Wheelchair access at most temples available.
Can I add Chitrakoot or Naimisharanya?
Yes. Chitrakoot adds 2 days between Prayagraj and Varanasi. Naimisharanya adds 1-2 days near Lucknow before Ayodhya. Both are highly recommended if time permits.
How do we plan this from Delhi?
Fly Delhi to Ayodhya (AYJ, about 1.5 hours) or take the Vande Bharat from Anand Vihar (about 8 hours 20 minutes). The circuit then runs one-way — Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Kashi — and you fly home from Varanasi (VNS), which has direct flights to Delhi and the metros. No backtracking, no repeated legs.
Which legs are by road and which by rail?
Ayodhya to Prayagraj is best by AC cab — about 167 km and 4 hours; the road beats rail on this leg. Prayagraj to Varanasi is about 125 km — 2–3 hours by rail or about 3 hours by cab. On road legs your luggage travels with you in the same vehicle.
Do we need darshan passes in all three cities?
Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi darshan is free; the free Sugam Darshan e-pass and aarti passes are booked on the official Trust portal, which we handle. Kashi: general darshan is free, and the temple trust's Sugam Darshan ticket (₹250 per person) uses a faster queue; Mangala Aarti is separately ticketed. Prayagraj: no pass for Sangam snan; Akshayavat darshan inside the fort requires coordination and a photo ID. All bookings are part of the package.
Where should we spend the most time?
Kashi. Ayodhya settles into 1–1.5 days and Prayagraj into a sunrise done properly, but Kashi's sequence — the Vishwanath yatra, the dawn boat, the evening Ganga Aarti — needs two days to breathe. Our 5–6 day itineraries weight the cities exactly this way.
Do we change hotels in each city?
Yes — one hotel per city, each chosen for walking distance to the main darshan. Check-ins are timed so you never wait in a lobby after a travel leg, and on road hops your luggage stays with you in the vehicle. We share the full hotel list in the written quote before you confirm.
