The story
About this package
A single day in Kashi, arranged with care. Dawn on the river, the temple sequence in its traditional order, a mid-afternoon rest in a heritage room, and the Ganga Aarti from the front row. The pieces are the same that a longer pilgrimage is built from — here they sit inside one well-judged day.
Private chauffeured car from the time of pickup to the time of drop. A boat with only your party aboard. Kashi Vishwanath darshan, with the time of day chosen for the calmest queue window. A luxury heritage room — at BrijRama Palace or Suryauday Haveli — held for you from 2 PM to 5 PM for rest and freshening up. A priest-led abhishek at Vishwanath, included. And in the evening, a front-row seat at the Dashashwamedh Aarti, with a short introduction to the lead priest before the ceremony begins.
How we look after this day for you
- The sequence is honoured. The temple order is the traditional one — Sakshi Vinayak, Kal Bhairav, Annapurna, and then Vishwanath.
- The bookings are made early. Vishwanath darshan, private boat, Aarti front row, heritage room — all arranged before you arrive, so the day itself stays calm.
- The pacing is gentle. A private car, private boat, and a room to return to mid-day. The day unfolds at a considered pace.
- You arrive prepared. A printed briefing reaches you by email before the trip, and again in your hand at pickup — what each ritual means, what to notice, what to leave behind at the hotel.
What makes this a premium day
- A private boat — only your group. The standard ride is 90 minutes from Assi to Panchganga; it can be extended to a two-hour circuit at no extra cost.
- Priority Vishwanath darshan — a specific window arranged through the temple trust, separate from the general queue.
- A priest-led abhishek — a private ceremony at Vishwanath with milk, gangajal and bilva leaves, with the Mahamrityunjaya mantra chanted.
- A luxury heritage room for mid-day rest — a three-hour block at a five-star heritage property, included.
- Front-row seats at the Aarti — with a short introduction to the lead priest before the ceremony starts.

A few things to know before you arrive
- Wear cotton, and something modest for the temples. Shoulders and knees covered inside the sanctum.
- Carry ₹2,000 in small notes for dakshina, the abhishek offering, and tips.
- No leather inside Kashi Vishwanath. Belts, wallets, leather watch straps and handbags are all restricted. The heritage room is a convenient place to leave them.
- Shoes with grip. Ghat steps are stone, often wet.
- A small ziplock for your phone on the boat.
Add-ons available on request
The day is complete as it stands. These additions are available if you would like them, priced separately in your quote:
- Vehicle upgrade — Mercedes E-Class or Audi Q7 in place of the Innova Crysta
- English–Hindi temple interpreter — the meaning of each ritual translated as it unfolds
- Private classical music baithak — an evening sitting in a traditional haveli in place of the Aarti, or after it
- Extended boat circuit — a two-hour route covering Harishchandra and Manikarnika with a discreet briefing on the cremation ghats
- Overnight stay at the heritage property — if you would like to continue the following morning
Mention what interests you in your enquiry and we will include it in the quote.
Frequently asked
Is the hotel room for overnight?
No — this is a day-only package, and the heritage room is a three-hour block (2 PM – 5 PM) for rest and freshening up. If you would like an overnight stay at the same property, it is available as an add-on, or see our 3-Day Spiritual Immersion, which includes a heritage hotel for the full stay.
Can we upgrade the vehicle?
Yes. The standard is a Toyota Innova Crysta, which is comfortable for up to six. A Mercedes E-Class or an Audi Q7 is available as an upgrade — mention the preference in your enquiry.
What is the group size limit?
Six guests, so the private boat, the car, and the heritage room all stay comfortable. For larger groups we are happy to put together a custom arrangement — please mention the group size in your enquiry.
Is a guide included?
The package includes a printed briefing — meanings, maps, mantras and cultural protocol — and for most guests this is enough. A dedicated English–Hindi temple interpreter is available as a paid add-on.
Do I need to be Hindu for the priest-led abhishek?
Not at all. The abhishek is open to anyone drawn to the ritual. The priest conducts the ceremony in full; the briefing explains what is happening at each stage. If you would prefer to observe rather than participate, that is quite all right as well.
What is the food like?
Breakfast is gourmet Banarasi — pure-vegetarian, served at the heritage haveli where the day begins. Lunch is a formal thali at a private dining space. Both meals are pure-vegetarian. Non-vegetarian and alcohol options can be arranged for a later dinner if you would like; mention it in your enquiry.
How quickly do you reply to enquiries?
Within 6 working hours on weekdays (Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 7 PM IST). Within 24 hours on Sundays and public holidays. Every enquiry receives a named reply from a member of our team.

“We came for my mother's 75th birthday darshan. Satmarg arranged wheelchair access, a pandit who spoke her dialect, and a private boat for her Ganga aarti.”
“Third time using Satmarg. The cab service is top-notch — AC Innova, polite driver, no surprise charges.”
