What is the Kashi Yatra?
The Kashi Yatra is the traditional sequence by which a pilgrim approaches the Lord of Kashi — said to be codified by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Four temples, visited in order, each unlocking the next. Every package we offer follows this sequence, because the order is part of the meaning.

Kashi Vishwanath Darshan — Timings, Aartis & Sugam Darshan
Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple opens at 2:30 AM and closes around 11:00 PM. General darshan is free; the temple trust also offers Sugam Darshan at ₹250 per person for a faster queue. Five aartis mark the temple's day — attending even one changes how you experience Kashi.

Quieter hours: just after Mangala Aarti (4–6 AM) and mid-afternoon (3–5 PM). Mondays, Sawan, and festival days draw the heaviest crowds. Travelling in Sawan (30 July – 28 August 2026)? How to Reach Varanasi
Varanasi is one of the best-connected pilgrimage cities in India. However you arrive, every Satmarg package includes pickup — you are received, not left to find your way.

Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (VNS) is ~25 km from the ghats — about 45 minutes by cab. Varanasi Junction (BSB) and Banaras (BSBS) stations are 4–6 km from the old city. The lanes nearest the ghats close to cars; our drivers drop you at the closest permitted point and a guide walks you in.

A morning in Kashi
What your first day feels like
4:47 AM. The conch at Assi Ghat cuts the dark. One long note, then three short. In thirty seconds, the first diyas will be on the water. In ten minutes, the first light will catch the temple spires at Panchganga.
You are on a slow wooden boat, gliding north. Women in cotton sarees are offering marigolds to the river. Brass bells from a hundred small shrines begin answering each other, one after another, the way they have for three thousand years. Your guide points out the ghats as you pass them — Tulsi, Kedar, Chet Singh, Dashashwamedh. By the time you reach Panchganga, the sun is up. The boat turns back. You step off at Dashashwamedh for breakfast. The day has not even properly begun.

What are the Kashi Vishwanath temple timings?
The temple opens at 2:30 AM and closes around 11:00 PM daily. Darshan pauses from about 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM for Bhog Aarti. Five aartis are performed daily, from Mangala Aarti at 3:00 AM to Shayan Aarti at 10:30 PM. Timings can shift on festivals — we reconfirm with the temple before every darshan we arrange.
How much does VIP (Sugam) darshan cost at Kashi Vishwanath?
General darshan is free. Sugam Darshan tickets, issued by the temple trust, cost ₹250 per person and use a faster queue. Mangala Aarti and the evening aartis are separately ticketed. We arrange tickets as part of every package, including aarti seats when booked in advance.

Do I need to be Hindu for a Kashi Yatra?
No. Kashi welcomes anyone — Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, of any faith or of none. We ask respect for the rituals and people performing them. The briefing document explains every ceremony in plain language.
When is the best time to visit?
October 15 – March 15 is the comfortable window (15-28°C). November brings Dev Deepawali and books out 2-3 months ahead. April-June is hot but early mornings are still pleasant. Monsoon (Jul-Sep) can disrupt boat plans.
Can we do this with young children or elderly parents?
Yes. Our Family Package (4 days) is paced for children 5+ and elderly pilgrims — reduced walking, planned rest, cab substitution anytime. For very young or mobility-limited guests, the Premium Private 1-day is ideal.
Is a guide included in every package?
No — our packages include a printed pre-arrival briefing that most pilgrims find sufficient. A temple interpreter, priest-led abhishek, or academic historian can be added as paid add-ons. Mention in your enquiry.
What about festival surge pricing?
Peak windows (Dev Deepawali in November, Kartik Purnima, Mahashivratri, Ganga Dussehra) cost more and require 2-3 month advance booking. We quote honestly — no hidden surcharges.
How many days are enough for a Kashi Yatra?
Two full days cover the traditional sequence — Kashi Vishwanath darshan, the dawn boat ride, Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, and Sankat Mochan. A third day adds Sarnath and the smaller temples of the old city. Many pilgrims combine Kashi with Ayodhya or Prayagraj in a 4–5 day circuit.
How much does a Kashi Yatra package cost?
A one-day guided darshan starts at a few thousand rupees per person; 2–3 day packages with hotel, AC transport, guide, and boat ride are the most popular. How do I plan a Kashi Yatra from Delhi?
Direct flights from Delhi reach Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri airport in about 90 minutes; the Vande Bharat and several overnight trains run to Varanasi Junction and Banaras station. Our packages start with an airport or station pickup — share your arrival time on WhatsApp and the cab, hotel, and darshan plan are arranged around it.
Is 2 days enough for Kashi, or do I need 3?
Two days cover the heart of it: Kashi Vishwanath darshan, the dawn boat ride, evening Ganga Aarti, and the traditional four-temple sequence. A third day adds Sarnath, the Bharat Mata and Durga temples, and unhurried time on the ghats — most families who can spare it are glad they did.
Can I combine Kashi with Ayodhya and Prayagraj?
Yes — the Kashi–Ayodhya–Prayagraj triangle is our most-requested multi-city route: Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya, Triveni Sangam snan in Prayagraj, and the full Kashi Yatra, in 4–5 days by AC vehicle. What is special about Dev Deepawali in Kashi?
On Kartik Purnima — Tuesday, 24 November 2026 — every ghat from Assi to Adi Keshava is lit with lakhs of diyas, and tradition says the gods themselves descend to bathe in the Ganga. It is the single most spectacular night of the Kashi year, best seen from a reserved boat, and seats genuinely sell out weeks ahead.
