Pre-flight check-in at Delhi airport (Indira Gandhi International, Terminal 3 in most cases) for the morning flight to Tirupati — direct where the schedule allows, via Bangalore where required (a short layover and a connecting hop to Tirupati). Premium AC sedan pickup at Tirupati airport with a Hindi-speaking ground host who stays with the group for the next four days, and the short drive to the 4★ hotel near the temple corridor. After a refreshing check-in and an early-evening rest, departure for Tiruchanur — the village 5 kilometres south of Tirupati where the consort of Bhagavan Venkateswara, Sri Padmavathi Devi, holds court in her own ancient temple. Tradition holds that no Tirumala darshan is complete without first paying respects to Padmavathi — she is Mahalakshmi herself, the Lord's eternal companion, and the Sthala Purana names her temple as the gateway to the seven hills. Evening darshan at the Padmavathi Devi temple, a quiet return to the hotel, and an early dinner before the pre-dawn Tirumala ascent on day two.
Pre-dawn departure for Tirumala by AC sedan up the ghat-road — about 22 kilometres of switchbacks climbing the Seven Hills, the Tirumala plateau breaking into view as the road approaches the temple corridor. Arrival at Tirumala before first light, and the queue for the ₹300 special-entry darshan slot booked in advance in your own name — the earliest slot of the morning, when the sanctum has only just opened for the day and the hill is still dark. (The Suprabhatam, the rite at which Bhagavan Venkateswara is woken from his cosmic sleep in the inner sanctum, is a separate ₹120 Arjitha seva allotted only by TTD electronic lucky dip; it can be requested but never promised.) Darshan of the moolavar — the self-manifest Venkateswara murti, dark as monsoon-cloud, decked in turmeric and camphor, bearing the conch and discus, the Lord whom Adi Shankara worshipped, whom Ramanujacharya named the supreme refuge of Kali-yuga. After darshan, the laddu prasadam at the TTD counter and Anna Prasadam at Matrushri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Bhavan — the satvik bhojan that the Devasthanam serves daily in the Lord's name. In the afternoon, the short drive to Sri Vari Padalu on the upper Tirumala plateau — the foot-impression of Bhagavan Venkateswara, marking the spot where he is said to have first set foot on the hill — and Akashganga theertham, the celestial-Ganga waterfall whose water serves the Lord's daily abhishek. Descent to Tirupati by ghat-road in the evening for rest at the 4★ hotel.
Morning departure for Sri Kalahasti — about 37 kilometres east of Tirupati along the Swarnamukhi river, the principal Shaiva shrine of the Tirupati region and the Rahu-Ketu sthal of south India. Bhagavan Shiva is worshipped here as Srikalahasteeswara in the form of the Vayu-linga — one of the Pancha Bhuta Sthalams, the five great Shiva temples that hold the five elements, in which Sri Kalahasti holds air (vayu). Coordinated entry for Srikalahasteeswara abhishekam — the morning sacred-bath of the linga with milk, curd, honey, ghee, and panchamrita, the most powerful seva at this shrine. Pilgrims with Rahu-dosha or Ketu-dosha in the janma-kundali traditionally come here for Rahu-Ketu sarpa-dosha nivarana puja — the graha-shanti seva that the Sri Kalahasti priests have continued from at least the Chola period and that pilgrims from across the country travel here to receive. After darshan and the abhishekam, an unhurried return drive to Tirupati. Evening is held free for rest at the hotel, last-minute laddu prasadam pickup, or a quiet walk through the Tirupati temple corridor.
A slow final morning. After breakfast and check-out, darshan at Govindaraja Swamy Temple in the heart of Tirupati town — the consecration of which by Sri Ramanujacharya in 1130 CE established the township of Tirupati at the foot of the Seven Hills. The principal deity is Bhagavan Govindaraja Swamy in the reclining (Bhujanga-Shayana) form on Adisesha — the elder brother of Bhagavan Venkateswara and, in the local Sthala Purana, the householder-form of the Lord while Venkateswara remains the ascetic-form on the hill above. The temple gopuram is among the tallest in the Tirupati corridor and the gateway through which the town has woken every morning for nearly a thousand years. Onward by AC sedan to Tirupati airport for the return flight to Delhi, with the host accompanying the group to the terminal. Drop at Tirupati airport. Departure from Tirupati with the laddu prasadam and the blessings of Bhagavan Venkateswara, Padmavathi Devi, Srikalahasteeswara, and Govindaraja Swamy.
The story
About this package
This four-day plan is built for the north-Indian pilgrim who wishes to stand before Bhagavan Venkateswara in the first hours of the morning without losing the better part of a week to travel. Premium return flight Delhi to Tirupati — direct where available, via Bangalore where the schedule requires it — and a sedan that meets the group at Tirupati airport for the short drive to the 4★ hotel near the temple corridor. The first evening is given to Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanur, the consort of Bhagavan Venkateswara, whose darshan tradition holds is the proper opening for any Tirumala yatra — Padmavathi first, then the Lord.
The heart of the yatra is the second morning. Pre-dawn departure for Tirumala, the climb of the Seven Hills by sedan up the ghat road, arrival at Tirumala before first light, and the earliest ₹300 special-entry darshan slot of the morning — booked online in advance in the name of each pilgrim, as TTD requires. (The Suprabhatam itself, the rite at which the Lord is woken from his cosmic sleep, is a separate ₹120 Arjitha seva that TTD allots only by electronic lucky dip; we can enter the draw on request, but no one can promise it.) After darshan, Anna Prasadam at Matrushri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Bhavan — the TTD prasadam hall where pilgrims are fed in the Lord's name. In the afternoon, Sri Vari Padalu and Akashganga theertham — the foot-impression of Bhagavan Venkateswara on the upper Tirumala plateau and the celestial-Ganga waterfall whose water serves the Lord's daily abhishek.
Day three crosses to Sri Kalahasti — the Rahu-Ketu sthal where Shiva is worshipped as Vayu-linga, one of the Pancha Bhuta Sthalams of south India, and the principal Shaiva shrine of the Tirupati region for Rahu-Ketu shanti and graha-dosha parihara. Srikalahasteeswara abhishekam in the morning, return to Tirupati for an evening of rest. Day four is a slow morning at Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati town — the elder brother of Bhagavan Venkateswara, in reclining form — and a sedan drop to Tirupati airport for the return flight to Delhi. The ground host is Hindi-speaking across all four days; the satvik palate of the north-Indian pilgrim is held in mind at every meal.

Questions pilgrims ask
What does the ₹22,500 price include?
The ₹22,500 per-person (twin-share) price covers return economy flights between Delhi and Tirupati, 3 nights in a 4-star hotel near the temple corridor, daily breakfast, the Anna Prasadam meal on your Tirumala day, a dedicated AC sedan for all 4 days, a Hindi-speaking ground host, and pre-booked ₹300 Special Entry Darshan tickets. It excludes the ₹300 ticket fee itself, most lunches and dinners, any paid sevas beyond what's listed, and your transfer to Delhi airport on Day 1.
Can you guarantee our Special Entry Darshan slot on Day 2?
We book the ₹300 Special Entry Darshan through TTD's official portal ahead of your travel dates, but TTD alone controls final slot availability, and it can tighten around festivals or peak weekends. If a slot can't be secured for your exact date, the free Sarva Darshan queue is the fallback, with a wait time that varies too much to promise in advance.
What is Suprabhatam, and is it part of this package?
Suprabhatam is the pre-dawn (roughly 3-3:30 am) awakening ritual for the deity, priced around ₹120 when available, but it's allotted through TTD's lottery system rather than sold to order — it's not included in your package, and even if you register for it, selection isn't guaranteed.
What are Sri Vari Padalu and Akashganga, on the Day 2 afternoon?
Sri Vari Padalu marks the footprints of Lord Venkateswara on a hilltop near Tirumala, and Akashganga is a small waterfall/theertham nearby — both are short, low-effort stops included after your morning darshan and Anna Prasadam, giving Day 2 some quieter sightseeing beyond the temple queue.
Why is there a full day for Sri Kalahasti on Day 3?
Sri Kalahasti, about 37 km from Tirupati, is a significant Shiva temple known for its abhishekam ceremony and its Rahu-Ketu pariharam rituals, distinct enough from Tirumala to be worth a dedicated day rather than a rushed add-on. It's a calmer temple experience than Tirumala's crowds, and the abhishekam viewing is included in your itinerary.
What happens at Govindaraja Swamy Temple on Day 4?
Govindaraja Swamy Temple, in Tirupati town itself, is one of South India's largest temple complexes and gives you a final, more accessible morning darshan before your afternoon flight — it doesn't require the ghat-road climb, which makes it a practical last stop on a travel day.
What's the dress code, and what can't we carry?
For Tirumala specifically, TTD expects a dhoti or pyjama with an upper cloth for men and a saree, half-saree, or churidar with an upper cloth for women; mobile phones, cameras and leather items are barred near the sanctum and must be deposited before darshan. The other temples on this trip are more relaxed, but modest clothing is advisable throughout.
What's included for meals and prasadam?
Daily breakfast is included at your hotel, plus the Anna Prasadam meal at Tirumala on Day 2; lunch and dinner on all four days are on you, and the complimentary laddu entitlement after darshan follows standard TTD practice — extra laddus are purchased separately at the counter, at whatever TTD's current rate is.
When should we travel, and when should we avoid it?
October to February gives the most comfortable weather for the darshan queues and the Sri Kalahasti/Govindaraja visits; avoid the Brahmotsavam period (usually September/October), when Tirumala sees its heaviest crowds of the year and both darshan slots and hotel rooms get significantly harder to secure.
