Ram Janmabhoomi
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple is the new Nagara-style mandir at the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Ram in Ayodhya, consecrated on 22 January 2024. Built by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in pink Bansi Paharpur sandstone over 70 acres, the temple completed centuries of devotional aspiration.

Ayodhya is the eternal city of Shri Ram on the banks of the Sarayu, revered in Hindu tradition as the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam and counted among the seven Mokshapuris of Sanatan Dharma. The city today centres on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, consecrated on 22 January 2024, and on the older shrines of Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan, and Nageshwarnath that have been worshipped here for centuries.

The starting and ending point of the inner Ayodhya parikrama, and the seat of the great Deep Utsav each Kartik when over 25 lakh diyas light up the ghats and the city.

Chitrakoot is the forest tirtha where Shri Ram, Sita, and Lakshman spent eleven and a half years of their fourteen-year vanvas. Tradition places the meeting of Ram and Bharat here, and the Kamadgiri parikrama — circumambulation of the hill where Bhagavan and Mata Sita lived — remains the heart of the yatra.
ChitrakootKanak Bhawan
Kanak Bhawan — the "Golden House" of Ayodhya — is the principal Ram-Sita grihastha shrine of the city, held by tradition to have been given by Queen Kaikeyi to Sita as a wedding gift. The present temple, rebuilt by the Maharani of Tikamgarh in 1891 in Bundeli style, holds three pairs of Ram-Sita murtis in the sanctum.

Kamadgiri is the sacred wish-fulfilling hill of Chitrakoot where Shri Ram, Sita, and Lakshman lived through the longest stretch of their 11.5 years of vanvas. Tradition holds the hill itself to be Shri Ram in his vanvas-form — the Kamadnath. The 5-km barefoot parikrama around Kamadgiri is the heart of any Chitrakoot yatra.
